Job summary

Coastal Beverage Company is seeking a reliable field-based Merchandiser to service and merchandise retail accounts in Goldsboro, NC. This full-time role requires visiting multiple stores, maintaining displays, stocking products, and ensuring POS materials are neat and up to date.

You will train new staff, assist with store resets, and support routes while upholding our core values and delivering timely product delivery to CBC customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year merchandiser or sales experience.
• Read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic math skills including rate, ratio and percent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

• Serve and merchandise retail accounts; keep displays stocked and neat.
• Travel between accounts to service customers during business hours.
• Assist with training new merchandisers.
• Lead or assist with store resets and large format routes.
• Conduct account surveys as requested.
• Attend meetings and training on products.
• Maintain timely product delivery to CBC customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Rotating Schedule working 7:30am - 4:30pm (and as needed), generally working Tuesday-Saturday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1.Assist the sales and delivery departments by servicing and merchandising retail accounts in the best professional manner possible. Responsible for stocking and merchandising various products ensuring that all beverage sections, racks, and displays are completely filled, POS neat, clean and current and displays maintained according to Coastal Beverage Company's standards.
• 2.This is a field-based role requiring consistent presence in customer accounts throughout the day during designated standard business hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
• 3.Assist with training new merchandisers.
• 4.Lead or assist with store resets.
• 5.Cover large format open sales routes as needed.
• 6.Conduct surveys of accounts as requested.
• 7.Attend sales meetings; complete craft and wine training; view playbooks.
• 8.Responsible for regular and punctual attendance to ensure product is delivered timely to CBC customers.
• 9.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2.Possess education equivalent to a high school diploma plus at least 1 year of merchandiser or sales experience.
• 3.Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• 4.Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• 5.Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• 6.Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• 7.Possess computer skills requiring knowledge e-mail software, and Internet.
• 8.Possess the ability to maintain regular and punctual in-person attendance to support merchandising operations and service customer accounts.
• 9.Possess ability to drive, valid driver’s license, and a driving record compliant with company standards.
