Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems seeks an Energy Marshal Inspector to lead energization, testing, and flushing activities across hydronic, exhaust, and grease-duct systems on complex projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and client-aligned outcomes while coordinating with operations, sales leadership, and site teams.

The role requires extensive mechanical piping expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to guide site personnel; some travel and on-site leadership are expected to support

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in the Mechanical Industry or related field with 5+ years in system operations and commissioning.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced software experience with industry-specific CRM/PM, collaboration, design, spooling, or fabrication platforms (e.g., ProCore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Revit, MSuite, Trimble).
• Has experience in the role of Start-up Technician performing startup activities in new construction.
• Proactivity/Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee and approve all Energy Marshal activities to ensure quality standards and safety protocols are met.
• Develop site-specific MOPs and review documentation for filling, draining, testing and flushing activities.
• Provide final review and written approval of energy energization MOPs prior to start-up.
• Conduct regular project walks and audits to ensure compliance with ACCO quality standards and client expectations.
• Stop work when quality is compromised and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in risk mitigation, health and safety processes, and project reviews.
• Travel 0% - 25% to support project sites.
