Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead the field on active mechanical/MEP installation projects in the New York City area. You will own mobilization through close-out, direct crews and subcontractors, manage safety, quality, schedule, and daily reporting on multi-million dollar programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading commercial MEP construction projects.
• Strong background in boilers, hydronic and steam heating systems, plumbing, or mechanical construction.
• Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and MEP plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-site execution of active MEP projects with in-house foremen, crews, and subcontractors.
• Own daily site reporting and keep PM informed with safety and progress updates.
• Maintain and update schedule status and flag deviations to PM.
• Lead 2-week look-aheads and weekly Site Super/PM meetings.
• Coordinate labor, materials, subcontractors, and deliveries on critical path tasks.
• Ensure site quality control standards through close-out and punch lists.
