Perimeter Behavioral Healthcare of West Memphis has a great opportunity for a full-time Lead Mental Health Technician. We are seeking individuals committed to improving our patients' lives by using a patient-centered, collaborative approach to providing high-quality care.

Our Lead Mental Health Technician responsibilities include:

1. Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
2. Conduct Handle with Care, BLS, and MHT Academy trainings.
3. Precept/Train new and existing MHTs.
4. Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patients' behavior.
5. Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
6. Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
7. Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
8. Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.

Qualifications for the Lead Mental Health Technician include:

Education: High School Degree or equivalent. Preferably, have educational or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work environments.

Experience: At least three (3) years of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience required.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment, prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
