Job summary

Spring Oak at York in York, South Carolina is seeking a dependable Lead Medication Technician to support our Wellness team. You will help ensure medications are administered safely, maintain documentation, and provide person-centered care.

This role combines direct resident care with leadership responsibilities, guiding Medication Technicians, coordinating shift assignments, and ensuring accurate medication records.

Qualifications

• SC medication administration certification required.
• Experience as Medication Technician, preferably in assisted living or senior living.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications per physician orders and state regulations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Medication Technicians and caregivers.
• Coordinate shift assignments and promote clear communication among team members.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and other required documentation.
• Monitor medication carts, medication supplies, and storage areas for organization and compliance.
• Assist with medication cart audits and promptly address documentation or medication-related concerns.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide personal care, assistance, and supervision to residents as needed.
• Follow individualized care plans and promote residents' dignity, comfort, and independence.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Wellness, licensed nurse, or designated supervisor.
