Job summary

Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall in Newburgh, NY is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform, evaluate, record and report clinical laboratory tests across a variety of body fluids and specimens.

You will assist the immediate supervisor by handling day-to-day operations in the assigned area. The role may include oversight of staff as directed, and requires NYS licensure standards, English proficiency, and relevant training.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Laboratory Science required or permitted by NYS for Medical Technologist.
• Six years of Medical Technologist experience required.
• Completion of one year training in an approved Medical Technology program or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Clinical Laboratory Technician - NYS Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology MT (ASCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform, evaluate, record and report clinical laboratory tests used in diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist supervisor with day-to-day operation and may oversee staff as directed.

Job Summary
