Siemens Healthineers in Springfield, MO is seeking a Medical Physicist to support Radiation Oncology services, ensuring high-quality, safe interpretation and treatment planning. The role emphasizes education, safety, compliance, and collaboration with staff and physicians to optimize patient care.

The position requires an MS/PhD in Medical Physics, CAMPEP residency, and 3–5 years clinical experience with HDR/SRS. Licensure and ABR certification eligibility within 3 years are expected.

Qualifications

• Must relocate to Springfield, MO or surrounding area.
• M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency.
• Part-I ABR exams completed (Part II preferred).
• HDR and SRS program experience preferred.
• Experience with patient record and verify database applications desirable.
• ABR certification or eligibility to obtain certification within 3 years.
• Maintain state licensing and/or registration as required.

Responsabilités

• Calibrate dose meters and accelerator beam data for QA and dosimetry.
• Prepare data for treatment planning systems and dosimetry software.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and organizational radiation safety rules.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and standards development.
• Assist in acceptance testing and re-commissioning after maintenance.
• Perform treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and reviews.
• Provide physics consultation to staff and physicians on patient care.
• Verify department treatment planning system and software management.
• Assist shielding calculations for new facilities and programs.
• Contribute to clinical education and competency evaluations.
