Job summary

Compass Oncology in Vancouver, WA is seeking an experienced Chief Medical Physicist to lead the clinical physics and dosimetry services across multiple sites. You will oversee safe, compliant radiation therapy delivery, guide staff, and drive quality initiatives in collaboration with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists.

The position requires an advanced degree in medical physics, ABR certification, state licensure, and at least seven years of experience with three years in management.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in medical physics from an accredited institution.
• Current certification by the American Board of Radiology.
• Valid state license for radiation physics and CE requirements.
• Minimum seven years in radiation physics with at least three in management.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation oncology physics services and coverage across sites.
• Lead the physics program, including staff scheduling and budgeting.
• Implement radiation safety training and monitoring programs.
• Develop safety policies, procedures and training manuals.
• Oversee licenses, equipment maintenance, and QA programs.
• Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists to ensure quality care.
