Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Blood Bank at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Full-Time/Day Shift

The Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results and in-depth technical/ theoretical knowledge of instruments and methodologies. The Lead MT/MLS performs complex QC, troubleshooting and maintenance duties w/ minimum supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an approved school of Medical Technology.
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathologyupon hire. Or
• National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathologyupon hire. Or
• National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathologyupon hire. Or
• National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologistsupon hire. Or
• National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalystsupon hire. Or
• National Laboratory Tech - United States Governmentupon hire.
• 6 yearsof experience as a Medical Technologist in a laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7 yearsof Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory
