Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Med Lab Scientist 3 to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests and studies, assist in supervising operations, and ensure quality control with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes instrument maintenance, accurate reporting, inventory management, teamwork, and participation in educational activities to support high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 3 Years of Experience
• Must have one certification from recognized agencies (ASCP, AMT, AAB) or grandfathered HEW licensee.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
• Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrates and educates laboratory beliefs and technical skills to others.
