Work Status Details: REGULAR FULL TIME | 80.00 Hours Every Two Weeks. Shift: Days. Pay Rate Type: Hourly. Location: Yuma Medical Center. Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates. Min = $27.89. Mid = $34.86. Max = $41.83.

Summary

In addition to the job duties assigned the Medical Laboratory Tech, the Lead is responsible for participating in the hiring, scheduling, training and collaboration of the Medical Laboratory Tech team with other areas of the department and hospital. Promotes an environment that is open and collaborative while keeping the team focused on a common goal. The Medical Lab Technician performs routine Laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently according to the regulations, policies, and procedures of Laboratory Services. The Technician performs quantitative, qualitative, and subjective laboratory procedures by manual and automated methods for inpatient and outpatients in all disciplines of the lab i.e. Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Blood bank, and phlebotomy as needed in support of CAP and DNV-GL compliance and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality specimen processing, evaluation and results reporting.
• Performs daily instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving specimen integrity problems.
• Performs specimen collection and interpretation of patient results and quality control data.
• Participates in Quality Assurance, Calibrations, and Quality Control processes; Maintains knowledge and interpretation of critical values.
• Participates in the hiring, scheduling, training and collaboration of the title team with other areas of the department and hospital.
• Promotes an environment that is open and collaborative while keeping the team focused on a common goal. Fosters interactive communications with team members to express ideas and concerns.
• Builds rapport and encourages teamwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
