Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or education and training equivalent to the requirements for a B.S. degree in a biological or chemistry specialty
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
• 1 year of clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Leads a group of laboratory employees working on a particular shift and coordinates daily operations of the clinical laboratory/section
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and physicians for resolution of unusual problems or unexpected circumstances (technical and non-technical)
• Supports mission of caring and patient-focused service within Providence Alaska Medical Center
