Syneos Health in the United States is seeking a Principal/Sr Medical Editor to lead regulatory document copy editing and QC for NA/Canada remote-based projects. You will apply AMA style and regulatory guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance on complex medical writing deliverables.

You will partner with medical writers, study teams, and cross-functional groups, manage timelines, mentor junior editors, and help develop editorial standards and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with FDA, EU, and other guidelines to ensure documents meet requirements.
• Represents the editorial group on study teams and cross-departmental projects.
• Monitors timelines and budgets, escalating risks as needed.
• Provides training and mentorship to medical editing staff.
• Leads complex medical writing projects, organizing team meetings and delivery.
• Performs quality reviews and applies AMA or client style guidelines.
• Manages projects per SOPs and client standards.
