CSA Group is a standards development and product certification organization, seeking an experienced Product Safety Engineer, Medical Devices in Irvine, CA office.

Based throughout North America and reporting directly to the Product Group Managers (PGMs), this is a dynamic opportunity with growth potential for a keen, systematic and process oriented individual who can see the big picture and be attentive to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6+ years experience or Eng Tech with 8+ years
• Strong knowledge of standards and testing procedures
• Familiarity with CSA, UL and IEC standards 61010 and 60601

Responsibilities

• Manage certification projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and deadlines.
• Review work of others and demonstrate technical competency.
• Evaluate products against national/international standards.
• Review test data and authorize Certification Reports.
• Collaborate with Lab Technician to plan tests and samples.
