Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in the medical device industry.
• Experience with disposable medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects on medical devices, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Analyze design issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Create 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams for compliance.
• Guide junior engineers through projects, offering mentorship.
• Use FEA and simulation tools to validate designs.
• Ensure designs are optimized for cost-effective manufacturing.

Skills

Proficiency in SolidWorks (2012 or newer)

Experience with stress analysis, FEA, and mechanical simulations

Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and DFMEA

Experience with injection molding, plastics, and machining

Leadership experience, including mentoring and managing junior engineers

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
