Job description

Job Purpose:The Lead Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in staff training and performance management. As a key resource for addressing patient concerns, this position resolves issues before they reach the clinic manager. Additionally, the Lead Medical Assistant supports clinic operations by covering for staff and fulfilling the responsibilities of both Patient Engagement Specialists and Medical Assistants.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead and Supervise: Oversee the daily operations of the clinic floor, ensuring smooth coordination and efficiency among Medical Assistants (MAs) and Patient Engagement Specialists (PES).
  • Guide Prioritization: Direct MAs and PES in effectively prioritizing clinic needs to ensure optimal patient care and workflow.
  • Train and Support: Provide comprehensive training, coaching, and ongoing support to MAs and PES, enhancing their skills and contributing to clinic optimization.
  • Conduct Audits and Evaluations: Perform regular audits and thorough performance evaluations for MAs and PES, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Resolve Patient Escalations: Address and resolve patient concerns with empathy and efficiency, ensuring a positive experience before involving the clinic manager.
What We Need From You:
  • Certifications: Possession of a Medical Assistant (MA) certificate, current CPR and First Aid certifications, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a Medical Assistant, demonstrating extensive clinical expertise.
  • Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication abilities paired with proven leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR), billing software, insurance carrier portals, and spreadsheets.
  • Team Management: Experience leading a team of 10 or more is highly desirable, showcasing a track record of successful team management.
Your Work Schedule:
  • Join us onsite for dynamic workdays, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM
