Position Overview: Provides assistance in the healthcare clinic by preparing patients for examination and performing clerical duties related to clinic activities. Under supervision of the Office Supervisor/Manager, supports office functions related to medical assisting. May serve as receptionist, medical assistant, or lab assistant as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent with at least five years of clinical experience.
• Completion of a clinical externship.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficient in clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
• Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Current BLS-C certification.
• Either:
• CMA eligible for AAMA certification, or
• RMA from AMT, or
• CCMA from NHA, or
• NCMA from CCT.
