Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to support clinic operations, maintain efficient patient flow, and uphold quality care during business hours. The LMA collaborates with physicians, NP/PA’s, nurses and MAs to deliver comprehensive care.

In this role you will train staff, ensure compliance with NYCBS policies, and help set departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of applicable experience.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Our offices are located across Long Island and Manhattan to serve you better.

Responsibilities

• Follow NYCBS laboratory policies and procedures.
• Assist supervised MAs with phlebotomy, processing and requisition completion.
• Assign and organize work priorities by directing workflow within offices.
• Support supervised MAs with hematology instrumentation operation.
• Complete all lab documentation for inspections and state inspections.
• Participate in training and competency of supervised MAs.
• Work with management to develop department goals aligned with priorities.
• Provide regular feedback to RLAD to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
