Shift: Shift 1, Mon-Fri 0800-1630, some days may vary based on clinic needs.
The Lead Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional who is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for assisting the manager/supervisor with daily operations, including staff assignments and acting as a resource for patients, providers, and support staff in the absence of the manager/supervisor. The Lead MA may also assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of medical assistants. Additionally, this individual acts as a liaison to resolve issues and performs all tasks of a Medical Assistant and Senior Medical Assistant.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must have one of the following: Military Medic/Corpsman training (with certification/license within 6 months of hire), Credentialed in ABR-OE, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NRCMA, CCMA, or NPCE certification, Certified Paramedic, Advanced EMT, or graduated from an accredited LPN program with active license. If hired as a Lead before 3/1/25, there is a 6-month window to obtain one of the listed certifications/licenses. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
