The Lead Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional who is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for assisting the manager/supervisor with daily operations, including staff assignments and acting as a resource for patients, providers, and support staff in the absence of the manager/supervisor. The Lead MA may also assist with onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing medical assistants. Additionally, this individual acts as a liaison to resolve issues and performs all tasks of a Medical Assistant and Senior Medical Assistant.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
One of the following is required: Military Medic/Corpsman training (must obtain certification/license within 6 months if hired before 3/1/25), Credentialed in ABR-OE, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NRCMA, CCMA, Certified Paramedic, Advanced EMT, or licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license. BLS certification from AHA or equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
