Job summary

The Lead Medical Assistant at Alpine Physician Partners Colorado represents an advanced clinical support role with substantial leadership responsibilities. This position mentors Medical Assistants, supports onboarding, and drives workflow efficiency while maintaining top patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice, outpatient clinic, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience training, onboarding, or serving as a resource for clinical staff preferred.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting provider success.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinical resource and mentor for Medical Assistant staff.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new and existing Medical Assistants.
• Promote workflow consistency, best practices, and adherence to clinic policies and procedures.
• Assist providers and clinic leadership in achieving quality, patient satisfaction, and operational goals.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and sound independent decision-making within scope of practice.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement operational efficiencies.
• Support provider productivity and patient throughput while maintaining high-quality care standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages growth, accountability, and collaboration.
• Assist with delegation of daily clinical workflows and provide informal leadership to the clinical support team.
• Serve as a liaison between providers, staff, and leadership to address workflow challenges and improve communication.
