Job summary

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical services team. You will help prepare for visits, assist during exams, and ensure patient records are up to date while maintaining a welcoming, patient-centered environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CMA certification, CPR certification, and good communication. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; a valid state driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before visits.
• Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms; adhere to infection control standards.
• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients and notify the physician when they are ready to be seen.
• Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history.
• Assist During Exams: Support physicians during patient examinations.
• Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep areas clean.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date.
• Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards.
• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen.
• Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately.
• Assist During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately. High degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Technical Skills: Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Multi-tasking: Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with diverse populations.
• Professionalism: Knowledge of "Universal Precautions" and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Driver\'s License: Valid State Driver\'s License preferred.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant, required.
• Current, valid CPR certification.

Salary Range

• Hourly Pay Range: $20.36- $23.27 hourly

Additional Compensation

• Eligible for quarterly performance bonus based on individual and/or company performance
