Job summary

You will assist physicians with minor procedures and manage intake, vitals, and medications. The role requires at least 2 years of MA experience, high school diploma, and MA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program with certificate/diploma.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a medical assistant; ambulatory care preferred.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of ICD9 coding and billing data collection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize clinic workflow for in-person and telemedicine visits across Primary Care.
• Monitor scheduling issues and address complaints during clinic hours.
• Lead and mentor MA staff; ensure adherence to policies and workflows.
• Perform in-person or telemedicine intakes; record vitals and medications.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures and prepare patient charts with pertinent information.
• Arrange and monitor diagnostic tests and manage prescription authorizations as needed.
• Manage clinic supplies under supervision; maintain patient privacy and safety.
