The Lead Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of clinical and administrative functions within the medical practice. The position combines hands‑on patient care with leadership responsibilities, including oversight of medical assistants, coordination of front office and volunteer operations, and support of clinical workflows. The Lead Medical Assistant serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff to ensure high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care.
This position supervises Medical Assistants, front office employees, and volunteers assigned to the medical department.
This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are flexible and are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Minimal travel of up to 10% may be required.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Minimum of three years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
