Job summary

Providence Saint John's Medical Foundation seeks a Medical Assistant IV who performs all MA I–III duties and leads in complex specialty areas, supervising ambassadors and preceptors within the clinic.

Qualifications: graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, BLS within 30 days, three years of clinic experience, and strong customer service; prior PSJH clinic tenure is preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or,
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or,
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire:
• 3 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
• 3 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
• 6 months Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of

Job description

The Medical Assistant (MA) IV works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.

Required Qualifications:
