Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician to support testing, validation, and continuous improvement of industrial clutch and brake products. The role operates in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment, focusing on experiments, test equipment readiness, and data-driven improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with test instrumentation and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant technical or manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on use of test equipment and tools.
• Proficiency with instrumentation and software for test setup, data acquisition, and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with industrial clutches and brakes, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execute, and document engineering experiments for product development and validation.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and support recommendations.
• Maintain and verify calibration of test equipment for accuracy and reliability.
• Fabricate and assemble test fixtures and prototypes as needed.
• Troubleshoot and support technical equipment to ensure efficient test and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve testing processes.
