Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead project management and design of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of facilities.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and a current NM PE license or active path to licensure; Revit MEP, AutoCAD or MicroStation experience is a plus, with a focus on quality and client coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design of facilities.
• Licensed professional engineer in New Mexico or within 1 year of obtaining NM license.
• Experience with MEP software such as Revit MEP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff and manage project teams.
• Lead coordination with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
• Oversee development of mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Develop project scope, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Ensure QA/QC and maintain design content consistency.
