Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Milwaukee seeks a Principal Mechanical Motor Design Engineer to own mechanical design of large AC motors and generators across the full product lifecycle. You will develop rotors, shafts, housings, bearing and sealing systems, and cooling solutions, working closely with manufacturing and test teams to move concepts into production.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, review engineering documentation, and provide technical leadership on complex rotating equipment programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience designing large motors, generators, or rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of large AC motors and generators.
• Design rotors, shafts, housings, bearing systems, sealing systems, and cooling systems.
• Develop detailed 3D models and production-ready drawings.
• Support new product development from concept through release.
• Partner with manufacturing to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds and production implementation.
• Participate in testing, validation, and performance improvement.
