Job summary

Staxmatic, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Foreman to lead and coordinate commercial installations on active projects in Austin, TX. This role oversees field crews, ensures safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and collaborates with Superintendents and Project Managers to drive project success.

The Foreman will mentor crews, coordinate with project leadership, and uphold high standards of workmanship and efficiency on demanding commercial jobs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of relevant commercial mechanical or HVAC field experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of assigned mechanical and HVAC crews, ensuring productivity, quality, and schedule goals are met.
• Supervise installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, equipment, and related mechanical components.
• Mentor, train, and support crew members; lead toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
• Participate in project planning, including work sequencing, manpower forecasting, and short-term scheduling.
• Operate or oversee the use of equipment such as backhoes, forklifts, man lifts, and power tools as required.
• Inspect work in progress and completed installations to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify and communicate material shortages, constructability issues, safety concerns, and schedule impacts to project leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite, proactively identifying and eliminating hazards.
• Ensure proper use, care, and tracking of tools, equipment, and materials assigned to the crew.
• Partner with Project Management and Superintendents to deliver quality results and a positive client experience.
• Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned.
