Job summary

KLA is seeking a mechanical engineer for its Electronics Rack & PDU Engineering Center in Ann Arbor, MI. You will design and develop rack and power distribution solutions for HPC infrastructure, aligning with product roadmaps and compute needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master/Bachelor with relevant work experience as stated in the job qualifications.
• Experience in mechanical design and analysis for high‑performance computing infrastructure.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and FEA software as described in the tech section.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver engineering projects for rack and PDU systems, including high‑power rack solutions.
• Apply design principles to integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and trade‑offs to leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee the transition from design to production and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability building.
