Job summary

TP Mechanical in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced design engineer to read and interpret blueprints, develop HVAC and plumbing equipment selections, and ensure conformance with engineering designs. You will perform load calculations and design-build activities, with emphasis on energy efficiency and lifecycle cost analysis.

The role requires 5+ years in design, 2+ years in plumbing/hydronics, and a Licensed PE.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Design experience.
2+ years’ experience in plumbing, hydronics and mechanicals.
Licensed PE

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
Recommend design modifications for HVAC and Plumbing equipment.
Specify system components to meet design and performance specifications for HVAC and plumbing.
Perform load calculations, heat transfer, fluids analysis, and equipment selections for Design Build and Design Assist projects.
Apply standards, codes, and industry best practices to designs.
Create code-compliant bid/construction/permit documents for Design Build projects.
Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet milestones and budgets.
Develop and maintain client relationships for Design Build and Value Engineering work.
Attend project meetings and site visits as needed.
Collaborate with Estimation Team and other design professionals.
