Job summary

Kimberly-Clark USA is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support daily case handling, improve reliability, and drive capital projects that improve Safety, Quality, OEE and Cost in our logistics system.

You will lead design, development and optimization of manufacturing equipment, guiding teams through complex technical challenges and 10-million-dollar initiatives from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of working experience.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Carry out job responsibilities safely.
• Develop equipment and processes meeting safety codes, policies, and guidelines.
• Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
• Support daily manufacturing asset performance to achieve Safety, Quality, OEE, & Cost objectives.
• Provide functional leadership and creativity in design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment.
• Lead product or process improvement projects with a financial scope up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
• Identify and solve complex technical issues and lead root-cause problem solving.
• Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of applied engineering principles, analysis, problem solving, and project management.
