Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a high-impact, full lifecycle role in Durham, North Carolina. This role focuses on the custom, in-house design and development of specialized machinery and requires deep mechanical and electrical design expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with 7+ years’ experience.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a related field permitted as alternative.
• Proven CAD expertise in SolidWorks or Inventor with GD&T proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical design of custom manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with shops to turn designs into hardware and manage lead times.
• Provide on-the-floor support during assembly and testing.
• Perform stress, thermal, and CFD analyses to validate designs.
• Develop 2D drawings, 3D CAD assemblies, and PFMEA inputs.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and ergonomic compliance.
