IKA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead equipment and system projects from concept through startup, ensuring designs meet customer needs and industry standards. You will collaborate with Mechanical Designers, Industrial Engineering, and cross-functional teams to develop documentation, support manufacturing, and drive successful project execution.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, strong CAD skills (Inventor/AutoCAD), GD&T proficiency, and hands-on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, and assembly documentation.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude for prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting customer-facing activities when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment and system projects from concept through startup.
  • Create, review, and revise 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements and applicable standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO, 3-A).
  • Support manufacturing and project execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage documentation, ECNs, and engineering change controls.
  • Travel domestically for installation, testing, or troubleshooting as needed.
