Job summary

FST Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a major data center project in Atlanta, GA. The role leads the mechanical Cx team through L1–L5, coordinating with client, GC/CM, and engineers to ensure readiness, testing, and turnover.

The successful candidate will manage engineers and field staff, drive documentation, and serve as the primary interface with stakeholders. Travel candidates are encouraged; per diem and mobilization support are provided.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mechanical commissioning, construction, or mission-critical facilities.
• Significant direct data center commissioning experience is required.
• Proven experience leading mechanical commissioning activities through L1–L5 on data center projects.
• Ownership of commissioning documentation, system turnover, and client deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Commissioning program through L1–L5 for a large-scale data center project.
• Provide technical leadership to Mechanical Commissioning Engineers and field personnel.
• Coordinate with client, GC/CM, MEP contractors, and controls teams.
• Represent the mechanical Cx team in client and commissioning meetings.
• Oversee planning, readiness, testing, and turnover activities.
