Qualifications

• Track record developing novel electrochemical cell architectures and hands-on experience building stack hardware (bipolar plates, flow fields, manifolds, gaskets, compression hardware).
• Proficiency in CAD-based mechanical design and DFM; able to move from drawing to prototype to test stand.
• Mechanical background with exposure to electrochemistry preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and validate a high-power metal-air fuel cell for Voya’s generator.
• Collaborate with material scientists to select/optimize cathode, anode, membrane/separator, and electrolyte materials and form-factor.
• Develop and iterate current collector, separator/membrane, and electrode architectures to improve power, efficiency, and durability.
• Develop manufacturing procedures for novel architectures.
• Coordinate with subscale/stack teams to identify scale-up limitations and implement solutions.
• Develop operational strategies to improve cell power, efficiency, and durability.
• Prototype bench-scale electrochemical flow cells to test new chemistries and stack configurations.
• Design and iterate cell & stack hardware (bipolar plates, flow fields, manifolds, end plates, gaskets, compression systems).
• Own mechanical design and tolerancing of cell/stack components in CAD.
• Work with product development to scale cells from bench to pilot and production-intent systems.
