All Pro Tire & Lube Tire Pros in Bluffton, SC is seeking a Lead Mechanic Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain customer vehicles. You will assist junior technicians and contribute to growth opportunities within a strong team environment.

The position requires automotive repair experience and ownership of tools, with emphasis on engine, brakes, transmission and electrical systems. We offer a 5-day work week, regular hours, and growth possibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive repair experience.
• Must have own tools to perform tasks.
• Knowledge of automotive/mechanical and electrical systems.
• ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests using engine analyzers and store diagnostics tools. Completes 32-point courtesy check.
• Conducts road tests and test drives on customer vehicles.
• Performs repairs and routine maintenance on engine, brakes, transmission, electrical systems and other components.
• Maintains clean shop bays and complies with company safety policies and regulations.

Job Summary

• The Lead Mechanic Technician performs automotive diagnostic, repair and maintenance procedures on customer vehicles. Assists lower level technicians on a as needed basis with guidance and repair advice

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic tests using store engine analyzers and electronic computers. Performs the 32-point courtesy check to determine comprehensive mechanical and electronic functioning. Utilizes Mitchell Repair, All-Data and service manuals to research technical information.
• Conducts road tests and test drives on a customers vehicle
• Performs necessary repairs, routine maintenance or replacement of or to the engine, brakes, transmission, electrical systems and other parts of cars and trucks.
• Maintains clean shop bays complying with company quality control program, company safety policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• Working knowledge of automotive/truck mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of the general operating systems in automobiles
• Working knowledge of automobile mechanical and electronic systems and competence with a variety of electronic tools, such as engine analyzers and computers
• Occupational training signified by professional certification such as ASE
• 3+ years of automotive repair experience
• Must have own tools to perform assigned tasks

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years of comprehensive automotive repair using diagnostic tools and computers
• Experience using engine analyzers such as Autel, Snap-on, Bosch, and OTC
• Preferred certification UTI, NASCAR or ASE certification
