Job description

Join our client's team as a Lead Mechanic/Chief Inspector and play a crucial role in the aviation repair station. As a top-tier engine builder, with a specialty in high-performance engines, our client is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to lead the inspection department. If you have a passion for aircraft engines and a keen eye for quality work, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform non-destructive testing and assembly work.
  2. Train, oversee, and assist personnel within the repair station as directed.
  3. Maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Airworthiness Directives.
  4. Ensure calibration checks on tools and equipment are up to date.
  5. Supervise all inspection stages from incoming to final approval for return to service.
  6. Manage records and documentation accurately.
  7. Identify defects, report unairworthy conditions, and follow QA procedures diligently.
Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years of experience in aircraft engine maintenance/building.
  2. Powerplant license required; IA not mandatory.
  3. Level II/III NDT certification preferred.
  4. Extensive knowledge of reciprocating aircraft engines and their functions.
  5. Familiarity with Lycoming and Continental engine models.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
