We are seeking Lead Mechanics to supervise our team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, ensuring the proper maintenance of our shared vehicle fleet. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined operations professionals seeking to expand their careers. Teamwork is essential, as mechanics collaborate to identify improvements and maintain fleet safety and functionality.
Onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, assigning daily tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
Foster a team-oriented environment and facilitate the integration of new Mechanics.
Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to management.
Ensure vehicle safety and operational compliance through quality checks before deployment.
Follow safety procedures to guarantee rider safety on all vehicles.
Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle and parts inspections.
Manage battery operations including inspection, rotation, and check-in/out processes.
Support inventory management of tools, parts, and vehicles.
Assist with tire maintenance, including changes and inflation.
Perform small repairs and identify issues to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
Maintain safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse.
Conduct repairs ranging from basic maintenance to complex electronic replacements.
Maximize operational vehicles through efficient task completion.
Operate equipment such as push carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and vehicles for deployment and retrieval of vehicles, with certification where required.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar industry; ability to train others preferred. Able to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
Capable of lifting up to 65 lbs (35 kg) regularly.
Understanding of workforce management to support staffing efficiency.
Comfortable learning new tools and concepts.
Ability to use data and KPIs to inform decisions and improve performance.
Knowledge of mobile applications, with iOS experience preferred.
Experience operating pallet jacks or push carts; forklift certification may be required.
Strong problem-solving skills for quick repairs.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
A safety-focused mindset for rigorous quality checks.
