The Role:
As a Lead Mechanic, you will service, repair, and maintain water hauling trucks and trailers while overseeing shop operations and supporting a team of mechanics. This position plays a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of the Keystone fleet. The Lead Mechanic will also manage shop inventory and ensure compliance with preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers used for water hauling
• Oversee and support other mechanics in the shop
• Manage shop inventory, ensuring proper parts and supplies levels
• Perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
• Order parts, fluids, and filters needed for servicing equipment
• Schedule warranty work, inspections, and repairs as required
• Complete necessary work orders and documentation using maintenance software
• Train employees on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices
• Operate equipment and support other operational assignments as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Specialized mechanical/technical education
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines, repairs, and maintenance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and maintenance software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proven teamwork and leadership skills
• CDL license preferred
• Must provide own hand tools

Schedule:

Full-Time | Shop-Based with Field Support | May Include Overtime or Extended Hours Outdoor work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, operate equipment, and work on uneven surfaces. The position involves standing, walking, kneeling, and other physical activities throughout the day.
