Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Measurement to provide data analysis support to psychometricians and deliver large-scale assessment programs. You will troubleshoot, develop quality controls, and work with big datasets, including one million records or more, using programs like WINSTEPS and MULTILOG.

Ideal candidates will have strong statistical analysis, programming experience, and the ability to mentor colleagues while coordinating cross-project data transfers. Travel is expected at 5–10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher with data analysis experience.
• Experience in statistical analysis, programming, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with large datasets and analytical code development.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain psychometric programs and statistical analysis processes.
• Develop and monitor quality control processes to ensure accurate and reliable data.
• Work with diverse data structures, databases, and large datasets containing one million or more records.
• Develop and maintain code, templates, and configurations for psychometric software, such as WINSTEPS and MULTILOG.
• Coordinate data analysis and data transfers across multiple projects and teams.
• Improve data processing workflows, resolve issues, and streamline processes.
• Lead or support data analysis for standard-setting and data review meetings.
• Train and mentor colleagues on programming, data processing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Communicate technical information and analysis results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support project planning, resource coordination, and process documentation.
• Travel of approximately 5–10%
