Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Lead Engineer in Dayton, OH to drive digital engineering and model-based system engineering across the full lifecycle. You will guide architecture, interfaces, and allocation using MBSE, SysML, and Cameo, with program leadership across ARD and related contracts.

The role emphasizes architecture development, program baselines, and metrics management, with security clearances and DoD program familiarity valued.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree or PhD in Electrical, Software, Computational Neuroscience Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience including design, decomposition, requirements, analysis, verification and validation.
• Experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and SysML.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE to define interfaces and functions.
• Assist in automating MBSE model creation across divisions.
• Lead MBSE within the broader digital engineering ecosystem.
• Maintain baselines, metrics, and program execution visibility for ARD IRADs and contracts.
