Job summary

Mathnasium of Humble South is seeking a Lead Instructor to guide math learning for K-12 students in a supportive, after-school setting. You will work with a team to deliver individualized instruction in small groups and help students build confidence in math.

We offer consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement in a collaborative, fun environment.

Qualifications

• Lead instructor will coach and collaborate with team.
• Excellent math proficiency through Algebra I.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage students.
• Ability to communicate with parents about progress.

Responsibilities

What you will do as a Lead Instructor:

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

What we are looking for in a Lead Instructor:

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities
• Ability to talk to and communicate with parents on a day to day basis
• Consistent availability for all open Center hours daily.

Center Hours:

• Sunday: 12:30PM - 4:00PM
• Monday-Thursday: 3:30PM - 7:30PM
• Fridays & Saturdays: Events as needed

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
