Job summary

Mathnasium of Durham is seeking a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor to guide K-12 students with individualized instruction after school and on weekends, using the Mathnasium Method™. You will help students understand math and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment.

In this role you will lead and coach team members, assess progress, communicate with parents, and become proficient with digital materials. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Strong math competency through Algebra I.
• Ability to balance leadership and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team to deliver individualized instruction in groups.
• Assess student progress and engagement during sessions.
• Communicate progress with parents/guardians.
• Teach in-center and online using Mathnasium Method™.
• Use digital educational materials and processes effectively.

What you will do as a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
