Job summary

Mathnasium is seeking a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor in Durham to guide and coach a small group of students after school and on weekends. You will lead instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with families using the Mathnasium Method.

You will teach in-center and online sessions, balance leadership with instruction, and participate in ongoing training and use of digital materials to support student learning.

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through algebra I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout sessions.
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians.
• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method and teaching practices.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
