Job summary

Mathnasium in Village of Ardsley is seeking a dedicated High school math instructor/tutor to transform the lives of K-12th grade students. The role involves leading individualized instruction, assessing student progress, and using the Mathnasium Method™.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional math skills, a passion for teaching, and be eager to learn. This position offers flexible part-time hours after school and on weekends, along with ongoing training and support.

Qualifications

• Transform lives of K-12th grade students through math instruction.
• Demonstrate proficiency in math up to at least Algebra II.
• Prepare to take a math literacy test as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess and communicate students' learning progress.
• Utilize Mathnasium Method™ while teaching.

What you will do as a High school math instructor/tutor

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
