Job summary

Workstream is hiring educators for its Mathnasium Learning Centers in Brighton, Michigan. This role offers part-time hours focused on transforming the lives of K-12 students through math instruction. Ideal candidates should have a passion for math, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance various responsibilities.

Candidates will receive training on effective teaching methodologies and all necessary instructional tools. The position fosters a supportive work culture and provides opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for math and working with K-12th grade students.
• Previous Mathnasium work experience is preferred but not required.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement.
• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach/tutor in‑center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

The Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
