Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a materials management professional to oversee the purchase of materials, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions. This role supports patient care and operations by ensuring timely, accurate material flow from receiving to production.

Responsibilities include planning and scheduling material movements, developing material requirements from engineering and production schedules, utilizing MRP/ERP systems, negotiating supplier

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Material Sciences required.
• Experience 3-5 years in materials management/inventory.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
• Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
• Coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production; negotiates lead times with suppliers and manages delivery schedules.
• Interprets shipping laws and prepares export/import certifications and licenses.
