NAVAIR, in Jacksonville, FL, seeks an Engineering Technician (Materials) within the FST Engineering Div, FST Dept at FLTREADCEN Southeast. You will lead and guide engineers, technicians, artisans, QA and production management in material processing for aircraft components, including selection, application and testing.

The role involves investigating complex issues, adapting criteria, and performing senior material-related failure analyses and mishap investigations.

Formación

• Experience troubleshooting material processing for aircraft components.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, artisans, QA and production management.
• Proven capability to tackle complex technical issues with incomplete data or conflicting information.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and guide engineers, technicians, artisans, QA and production management in troubleshooting material processing for aircraft components to include selection application and testing.
• Actively investigate and resolve complex technical issues that may involve adapting established criteria, working with incomplete data or resolving conflicting information.
• Serve as a senior technician for complex material-related failure analyses and aircraft mishap investigations.
• Develop, modify, adapt and validate new or non-standard test methods and processing techniques, and repair procedures for a variety of aerospace materials where precedents are limited.
• Use standard laboratory equipment for sample preparation and testing and ensure that equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
