Job summary

Idlogistics is seeking a forklift operator to support a cold storage facility in California. The role includes directing and training operators, assigning tasks, and resolving issues while moving products in a 35-degree environment.

Experience with railcars and OSHA certifications is required. Pay starts at $22.00/hour with a $1 cold environment incentive, plus comprehensive benefits after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operator with rail-specific experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Supports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility.
• Assists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered industrial equipment following safety standards.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment and ensure correct loading.
• Move product from staging or storage areas into rail cars or containers.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged; report variances.
• Inventories materials and supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy.
